!PRESENTATION! Casey & Eddie Rudd

Please join us on Thursday, September 30th from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at the SKC auditorium for a fabulous presentation by Casey and Eddie Rudd.

Casey Rudd is the Founder/Director of Connections, a non-profit based in Bozeman, Montana. Connections advocates statewide for Montana prisoners and assists with finding housing, jobs, clothes, and furniture for newly released prisoners reentering into the community.

Casey was a drug user for over 30 years, had one baby born addicted to meth and raised four children in the drug lifestyle. She was sent to Montana Women’s Prison in ‘94 for drug sales and has since turned her life around and has been clean and sober for 16 years. Casey has been doing IDU street outreach work for 10 years in the Gallatin Valley and five surrounding counties. She is a Harm Reduction Specialist and certified by the state to do HIV/HepC education, testing and counseling.

Eddie Rudd is a co-presenter and the supervisor for Connections Street Outreach Programs. Eddie is a former drug user and alcoholic and has done time in Montana for DUI’s. He has been clean and sober for ten years and shares his story of past addictions and being HepC positive.

 Casey and Eddie have created innovative interventions for reaching injection drug users and other high risk populations. Their work has been evaluated twice by the University of Missoula and proven to be highly successful in motivating positive behavior change within the high risk populations they serve. Casey is currently a member of the Harm Reduction Task Force and also has served on the Governors AIDS Advisory Council for  five years. Casey and Eddie both serve on the State Community Planning Group for HIV dollars.
